May 17 – World Communications Day

Well, I missed the boat on this one…on some websites I was looking at it said “World Telecommunications Day” and it was today…Monday May 17. As I am researching this more it seems that “World Communications Day” is May 16 and is a Catholic thing. There is far more data and research suggesting that that is the true day and May 17 World Telecommunications Day is for people who missed yesterday…like me…oops.

It is a day in the Catholic Church to reflect and focus on spreading The Word using modern technology in today’s society. Below is a link from the Vatican. Apparently they decide on the theme for this day back in January. This is the 44th World Communications day…or yesterday was…
